Reporter Kim Jae-myung – A.I.Matics, a subsidiary of Uninest, announced on the 19th that it will participate in the “2022 AIoT Korea Exhibition,” held from October 19 to 21 at COEX, where it will showcase its latest AI-based safety driving solution “aid,” including its new real-time driver scoring service.
The AIoT Korea Exhibition is Korea’s largest event covering IoT-based 5G, AI, and data fusion solutions and services.
At the event, A.I.Matics introduced the enhanced “aid” solution, featuring a real-time driver scoring function powered by its proprietary AI algorithms. This service applies five developed risk indicators—over-speeding, sudden acceleration, harsh braking, sharp cornering, and close-following—defined by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority as key risk behaviors. Combined with GPS data and A.I.Matics’ Smart Event technology, the system can detect unsafe driving habits and provide real-time safety scoring for drivers.
Since 2019, A.I.Matics has piloted the aid solution with various bus and fleet operators, verifying its effectiveness in reducing accident rates. Data collected from these trials has been used to refine the system to capture drivers’ risky behaviors and driving patterns, enabling accurate monitoring of safe and unsafe driving habits in real time.
An A.I.Matics representative commented, “Our AI-based driving safety solution aims not only to provide real-time safety scoring but also to support customized driver education programs, helping drivers build safer habits. Ultimately, this supports national road safety goals while promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly driving.”
