VisionNext (VisioNext7) announced that it will collaborate with AIMATICS, a company specializing in AI video recognition solutions for vehicles, to drive advancements in on-device AI camera technology.
The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Pangyo R&D Campus. The agreement was attended by VisionNext CEO Woo Jung and AIMATICS CEO Lee Chan.
Through this partnership, the two companies plan to jointly develop optimized video solutions for in-vehicle AI cameras and advance on-device AI camera technologies for commercial markets. They intend to expand the scope of cooperation to include overseas markets and broaden business opportunities in mobility services.
On-device AI cameras, powered by AI technology, can instantly recognize the driving environment inside and outside vehicles, alert drivers of risky behaviors, and help prevent accidents. From the management platform, operators can monitor data in real time and utilize insights to improve driving safety.
AIMATICS CEO Lee Chan stated, “Our company has accumulated years of experience in AI video recognition technology through its deployment in mobility and safety solutions. By combining this expertise with VisionNext’s Vision AI SoC technology, we will create advanced on-device safety solutions and aim to lead both domestic and global markets.”
VisionNext CEO Woo Jung added, “By working with AIMATICS, we will strengthen our competitive edge in the ADAS and mobility safety markets. Through the integration of AI-based safety monitoring solutions, we expect to deliver next-generation platforms that enhance accident prevention and operational safety. This collaboration will also open new business opportunities in the global automotive AI industry.”
VisionNext possesses extensive expertise in video signal processing, neural processing units (NPUs), and Vision SoCs (System on a Chip). The company has built key capabilities ranging from video input to solution development. Its proprietary ISP (Image Signal Processor) technology supports real-time NR (Noise Reduction) to optimize image quality, while its AI-based Vision SoCs are capable of integrating a variety of Vision AI solutions into a single chip for diverse mobility applications.
