AI-powered commercial vehicle safety solutions company A.I.Matics announced on the 13th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Wide Lab, an affiliate of Korea Wide Group, and established partnerships with six major bus operators, including Siyoung Transportation.

The agreement was designed to help build a more efficient, data-driven fleet operation and safety management system while enhancing passenger safety. The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with Korea Wide Group, which operates major transportation companies such as Gyeongbuk Express and Dongbu Express.

As the commercial vehicle industry rapidly shifts from hardware-centric systems toward AI- and software-driven smart mobility platforms, A.I.Matics is expanding its AI vision recognition technology and driving data analytics capabilities into the broader public transportation sector.

The core solution being supplied is the “R10 DVR,” an integrated platform combining AI vision recognition technology with a Digital Tachograph (DTG). The device provides real-time monitoring and management of various in-vehicle and external risks, including forward collision risk detection, Driver Monitoring System (DMS), left and right blind spot detection, and passenger fall detection.

By integrating the legally required DTG functionality into a single AI safety platform, the solution eliminates the need for multiple standalone devices. The all-in-one system enables accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and driver scoring through a unified device.

This allows bus operators to reduce equipment management costs and operational burdens while utilizing accumulated driving data for more precise driver behavior analysis and coaching, ultimately contributing to meaningful accident prevention outcomes.

Moving forward, A.I.Matics plans to provide integrated safety solutions to Korea Wide Group, along with data-driven analytics services based on collected operational data. Korea Wide Group will support field validation and operational deployment to further enhance public transportation safety management.
